LOST & FOUND
These Shoes were found in a vintage store, they were a bit battered but I re-covered the heels & made new inserts for them.
Old things become new again & houndstooth never goes out of fashion.
These shoes are a size 10 which is quite rare in a vintage shoe as women's feet have become wider & larger over the past 20 years.I added a flourish of houndstooth to the buckles & now they are better than new & totally original.

The Ruby Slippers
The Ruby Slippers in the Wizard of Oz where originally silver in the book. It was decided to make the shoes red for the movie in order to take advantage of newly developed colour processes in film.
The film's early 3-strip Technicolor process required the sequins on the shoes to be darker than most red sequins found today; bright red sequins would have appeared orange on screen
This ruby toed slipper of my devising is encrusted with red & orange glitter.
