I recently attended an experimental drawing class at Active Art Studios. I was asked to bring along something that I wanted to draw & I chose my 1985 hang ten roller skates. Little did I expect that I would be drawing with a very long bendy stick!

I think the stick is willow & it has an oil pastel taped to the end of it. Of course it was hard to control the stick as it bent & swayed as I dragged it across my paper.

I had so much fun & I felt like I was a kid again.
Yes I did move on to more serious art later in the day, but nothing can beat drawing roller skates with a big stick.
