I like bluebirds on my shoes

0k so I have a thing for bluebirds on my shoes. I handstitched this pair of bluebird boots for myself & made bluebird hangers for the grossgrain laces. I'm trying to bring back the shoelace hanger trend that was so short lived in the 80's.

Luckily the bluebirds can be transferred to another pair of shoes due to the fact that my dad tried these beauties on & now he is claiming them for himself. The facts are that both of my parents feet are approx the same size as mine! & yes mum has scored my best pair also! Mum's standard comment when she see's my shoes "ooh they look like they would fit me".

These are a little vintage pair of cork wedges that needed some attention. I was very fast in getting down to the bluebird applique! Dont try this at home kids it involves sandpaper, solvent, toxic glue & a sharp needle.
