The above shoes are mens back to front oxford shoes sans laces. These shoes pretty much disregard every design rule in the book. I was inspired by the theme of an early 1940's masquerade ball. Although I can sort of imagine hue heffner wearing them with his smoking jacket. The gold leather is covered in real foil.
These shoes remind me of clown shoes & are the first pair of shoes that I ever made!
This shoe is surrounded by shoe lasts. Shoe lasts are an essential mould used for shoe making. The last determines the size & shape of the shoe!Incidentally the blue lace up shoe in the middle won an award at SALA in 2009.
